Dricus du Plessis, a contender for the UFC middleweight championship belt, made a promise ahead of the fight with Sean Strickland, the current champion of the organization in this weight.
“You will see an improved version of me. I am eternally grateful to my coaches, team and everyone who participated in this camp. Today we fly out to pick up what should belong to me and those who have always been with me, and my entire country. I promise: I will either bring home the UFC middleweight championship belt or I will die trying.”
