UFC lightweight Arman Tsarukyan has outlined his next career plans.
Arman Tsarukyan says he is willing to serve as the backup fighter for a potential UFC 3XX showdown between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje, putting himself in position to step in if anything goes wrong before fight night. The lightweight contender also made it clear he does not plan to sit idle while waiting, signaling that he wants to stay active as the division’s title picture continues to shift.
Speaking about his plans, Tsarukyan said he is prepared to be the reserve for Topuria vs. Gaethje and ready to replace either man if needed. At the same time, he said he wants to remain active and could compete in RAF next month or in May, depending on when Colby Covington is ready. Tsarukyan took a shot at Covington as well, questioning whether he can stop drinking beer, lying on the beach, and cut the extra weight.
As for his UFC future, Tsarukyan said that if he is not needed as a replacement, he is ready to face the winner of Topuria vs. Gaethje. Still, he added that he believes the promotion has different plans for him. According to Tsarukyan, the UFC will announce his next opponent after the White House card.
