Ward believes Canelo would avoid him

Andre Ward, former world light heavyweight champion, announced that Saul Alvarez I would never have wanted to fight him if he had remained an active fighter.

“No, I don’t think he would fight with me. My name wasn’t mentioned next to Canelo Alvarez until he fought Sergey Kovalev. I don’t want to say that Kovalev was finished, but he was already in decline. At that point, he was no longer Crusher. It was a strategic decision, that’s what Canelo does...,” Ward said.

Let us remember that Ward previously said that he was ready to resume his career for the sake of a fight with Canelo.
