Top American UFC welterweight Belal Muhammad stated that he was ready to replace Leon Edwards or Colby Covington in their upcoming title bout.
The fight will take place as part of the main event of UFC 296, which will take place on December 16 in Las Vegas.
“They called me on Friday and asked if I wanted to weigh in next week. I think the UFC is well aware that Colby and Leon are the two most inactive fighters in the division. Both don't like to fight, but they like to run. So, just in case, they called the guy who always comes to help when needed. I’ve been training all this time in case something happens,” MMA Mania quotes Muhammad as saying.
