Shawn Porter, former world champion and current commentator, shared his opinion on the upcoming fight between Terence Crawford and Israil Madrimov.

"Terence always needs a couple rounds to see what his opponent can do. I expect Madrimov to go at him and I expect Crawford to respond. I think he'll start the fight in a right hand standup. It's going to be a fun fight. He's going to have to work hard, but he'll get through it - he always does. Some people are born to do what they do and this guy was born to do what he does," Porter said on DAZN.

The fight between Terenson Crawford and Israil Madrimov will take place on August 4 in Los Angeles, USA.

Turki Alalshikh, the Chairman of the Saudi Arabian General Entertainment Authority, had hoped to organize a boxing match between David Benavidez and Terence Crawford. The proposed bout aimed to take place in the 160lbs middleweight division. However, the plans did not proceed due to it being impractical for Benavidez to cut down from his current fighting weight class, as revealed through an interview on Sean Zittel’s YouTube channel.

Terence Crawford, former absolute world champion in two weight classes, has spoken out about his upcoming fight with Israil Madrimov, WBA light middleweight champion of the world.

"I want to leave behind a legacy like I've never had before. Madrimov is very talented and strong, but I've fought guys who are talented and strong. He has good footwork, but I've fought guys with good footwork. He's elusive. But I've fought guys who are elusive. The main thing is for me to dictate the pace, do what I want to do in the ring and deprive him of what he wants to do," BoxingScene quoted Crawford as saying.

WBA light middleweight champion Israil Madrimov (10-0-1, 7 KOs) made his first statement since the announcement of his bout against three-division conqueror Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs).

"Terence Crawford is my favorite fighter. I love his style. A lot of respect to him, but on August 3, I'll be ready. There's no doubt or hesitation. As soon as I heard the news that I was going to fight Crawford, I was very excited. I'm not Errol Spence. I'm Israil Madrimov. This is my division," - quotes the words of Madrimov Boxing Scene.
