In a bout between two undefeated welterweights on the undercard, Spence-Ugas, regular WBA welterweight champion Rajab Butaev (14-1, 11 KOs) from Russia in a stubborn fight lost to a Lithuanian by a split decision Eimantas Stanionis (14-0, 9 KOs) during twelve hot fights. In the eleventh round, judge Rafael Ramos deducted a point from Butaev for holding Stanionis's head, but in the end, this did not affect the final verdict of the judges, who gave 114-113 in favor of Butaev and 116-111 and 117-110 to Stanionis .

In his next appearance, the Russian will fight for the "super" WBA title against the winner of the Yordenis Ugas vs Eimantas Stanionis fight.
