Murray beats Garcia in a dirty fight

Former middleweight contender Martin Murray (37-4-1, 17 KOs) scored a unanimous decision over Roberto Garcia (41-4, 24 KOs) and took away his WBC silver title in the main event of the evening at O2 arena in London. It was a very dirty fight. In the second and ninth rounds referee Hector Afu deducted points from Garcia. The scores were: 116-111, 118-109 and 118-108.

World middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders again postponed title defense against Martin Murray, citing injury. Saunders' fight against Murray was to be held on June 23 at the O2 Arena in London, but because of the not yet disclosed injury, the meeting will be postponed. Initially, the two Britons had to fight on April 14, but that time Saunders suffered hand injury. Promoter Frank Warren said that he will officially announce the status of this fight on Monday.
