After two and a half years of inactivity, the 39-year-old former two-time world champion Jean Pascal (36-6-1, 20 KOs) defeated the previously undefeated IBF No. 1 light heavyweight Fanlong Meng (17-1, 10 KOs) by unanimous decision in the main event of the evening on ProBox TV in Plant City, Florida.
Fight between Sergey Kovalev (34-4-1, 29 KOs) and fanlong meng (17-0, 10 KOs), scheduled for March 12, was postponed to April. The official date has not yet been confirmed, so it is possible that the fight will take place even later.
Debut Sergei Kovalev in the cruiserweights takes on more real features. According to Mike Coppinger, representatives of Kovalev and Chinese Fanlong Meng almost completed the deal for their fight on March 12th. The Kovalev-Meng fight will be the main event of the next boxing evening from the Triller Fight Club.
On September 25 in Yekaterinburg IBF and WBC light heavyweight champion Arthur Beterbiev (15-0, 15 KOs) will fight Fanlong Meng (16-0, 10 KOs). The Chinese is the official contender for the title of International Boxing Federation.
In August Artur Beterbiev (15-0, 15 KOs) could go into the ring at the football stadium "Gazprom Arena" in St. Petersburg, Russia. Recently, there was an informal information according to which Dmitry Bivol (17-0, 11 KOs) could become Beterbiev's rival in this bout.
