Colby Covington Notifies UFC of Retirement After Buckley Loss

Former interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington has officially informed the promotion that he intends to retire from professional mixed martial arts. His most recent UFC appearance came in December 2024, when he suffered a third-round TKO loss to Joaquin Buckley after a severe cut. Covington leaves the UFC with a 12-5 record.

Covington has recently remained active in the RAF wrestling league, where he picked up wins over Luke Rockhold and Dillon Danis.
