Brazilian UFC welterweight Carlos Prates says he has no plans to start a family because he prefers spending his time and living alone.
Carlos Prates says he expects to spend his life alone, explaining that his priorities have changed as he has gotten older.
Speaking in an interview with That MMA Girl, the Brazilian welterweight said he once imagined getting married and having a big family, but no longer sees that as the life he wants. Instead, Prates said he wants to enjoy life and travel the world.
Prates added that he already has a daughter and is currently content living by himself in his home in Brazil. He described a routine centered on solitude, saying he often wakes up, makes himself lunch or barbecue, drinks alone, plays video games by himself, and then goes to sleep.
For Prates, that lifestyle is not a problem — it is exactly what he enjoys most.
"I think I’ll spend my life alone. Years ago, I thought about getting married and having a lot of kids, but over time I got older and realized that I just want to enjoy life. I already have a daughter, so right now I just want to travel the world. I live alone in my house in Brazil. A lot of times I wake up, make myself lunch, barbecue, drink by myself, play my video games alone, and go to sleep. I love spending time alone," the Brazilian said.
