Ngannou responded to critics about his legacy

Francis Ngannou, former UFC heavyweight champion, responded to criticism from those who claim that the fighter has destroyed his legacy by deciding to stop working with the UFC.

“Let me tell you what a real legacy is: my legacy now is my children, my family, who have healthcare, security, the ability to put food on the table and have a roof over their heads. That's the real legacy. You can have the legacy of Muhammad Ali, or any other, but if your child cannot go to school and does not have a place in society, that legacy will not help you at all.

You can't go to a store, a gas station, or a school and pay bills with a 'legacy.' You need to understand that. It's nonsense that organizations feed to fighters, deceiving them while they 'fight for legacy.' Fine, fight for it. Keep that legacy and give me my money—the money I deserve,” said the Cameroonian heavyweight at a press conference in Los Angeles.

Let us recall that Ngannou will have his next fight on May 16 at the MVP tournament in Los Angeles, where his opponent will be Philipe Lins.
