Michael Bisping, former UFC champion, now commentator and analyst, commented on Aspinall's recent statement about feeling a lack of empathy from the MMA community.
“I understand what Tom is saying. When you're in such a situation, it seems like the whole world is against you. And he's definitely not to blame. But that's reality — the show must go on. I myself have been through multiple eye surgeries. I wasn't in constant contact with the UFC — they didn't call or inquire about my condition. Dana White called once, and that's it. I'm not criticizing them for this — they have a business, a huge global company that has to organize the best fights on the planet. If someone gets injured — of course, it's unfortunate, but the show goes on. If you get injured at work and can't come in on Monday, the business will still continue.”
