UFC CEO Dana White said there is only one issue that could affect plans to hold an event at the White House.
Weather will not stop UFC’s planned White House event, according to CEO Dana White, who says the only real concern is lightning.
“We’ll fight through bad weather. Even if it snows, we’re still going to fight. Nothing will stop the show that night: it can rain, there can be a storm. The only problem is lightning. Then we’d have to wait it out. We’d need to wait for the lightning to stop and then put the fight on.
That’s why I don’t like doing outdoor shows. Obviously rain is bad. Strong wind is bad too. Heat and humidity, insects — those are all problems you deal with outdoors, but we’re ready for anything. No matter what happens, we’re still going to hold the event. Like I said, even if it snows, we’ll keep going. The only thing that can really get in our way is lightning,” White said while speaking with streamer Adin Ross.
