Ranked UFC welterweight Ian Gary created a list of fights in the division he'd like to see.
"Everyone has their opinion on who should fight next in welterweight. Here’s mine. Carlos Prates versus Michael Morales. Because these are two strong, tough strikers, and I want to see who is better. I doubt Morales will take this fight because Prates hits harder.
I’d also like to see Carlos fight Jack Della Maddalena, but I’d put Maddalena against Kamaru Usman. I want to see how Jack will counter takedowns. Has he learned, has he improved? And can Kamaru still beat a young prospect?
And finally, the title fight. I want to see Makhachev defend his title against the number one contender—Ian Gary.”
