Arman Tsarukyan will be ready to move down to the UFC featherweight division and win the championship belt there if he is not given a title shot in lightweight.
"If I don't get opponents like Topuria, Gaethje, or someone else, I will try to take the title in featherweight. What else can I do? I talked to coach Sam Calavitta, he calculated everything, and concluded that I can drop down to 66 kg. We can do it. If the fight is scheduled for June, and two or three weeks before we find out that we are fighting in featherweight, we will do it. For reference, I usually weigh 74 kg about ten days before the fight. I would prefer to stay in lightweight, but if they say that Ilia will fight Gaethje, I will ask them for one fight in featherweight, and then a title fight. Let's see what they have planned," stated the fighter in an interview with Ariel Helwani.
