Justin Gaethje, a top UFC lightweight, criticized the bonus system in the promotion.

"I have received 14 bonuses, but they do not amount to even $1 million — that's wrong. Bonuses should be much bigger. Of course, I should have been smarter with my money, but I didn't. I still hear Daniel Cormier saying that all fighters in the tournament will get more [because of the deal with Paramount]. I will not get a single extra dollar from this deal," MMAJunkie quotes Gaethje as saying.
