The former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov said that he only began to learn the basics of high-level mixed martial arts just before ending his career.
"I am 37 years old. I’m young, I still have energy. A close friend of mine said it will be difficult after 40 years, you will start to slow down a little. I just turned 37 years old. Don't forget that I ended my career because of a tragedy in my family. And I ended my career at 32 years old. I barely even had time to start. I was just starting to learn the higher basics of MMA. And then a tragedy happened with my father — and I finished."
