The winner of the Strickland - Hernandez fight could become Chimaev's opponent

Laura Sanko, UFC commentator, stated that the winner of the upcoming fight between Sean Strickland and Anthony Hernandez could become the next opponent of the current UFC middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev.

"I want to see the Chimaev – Imavov fight. Although there is a chance that the winner of the Strickland – Hernandez fight will be brought against Khamzat. Sean will be very uncomfortable with Chimaev, so I'm not sure there will be a real fight between them. Let's see if Chimaev can make two defenses in 2026," Sanko said.
