“Did Dana White say that he could fire me after the story with Islam Makhachev? They thought I had a problem with weight cutting. They thought I couldn't make weight, so I came up with a back injury. I say: ‘Well, if you thought so, you had a doctor. Send me for an MRI, let them check the back.' I have never had any problems with weight. I'm not the biggest lightweight. Then it came out that the problem was not with weight, not injury, but just couldn't handle the load in the context of a title fight — in terms of responsibility. Now everything is fine, I hope to fight in the summer.”
