Alex Pereira, the UFC light heavyweight champion, made an unexpected statement regarding his participation in the promotion's tournament at the White House. The Brazilian wrote a short post on social media indicating that he will not fight at this event. However, he did not mention the reasons.
Previously, Pereira himself was pushing for his fight against Jon Jones, the former promotion champion in two weight categories, at the White House event.
Recall, in his last fight Pereira won by technical knockout against Magomed Ankalaev.
