UFC featherweight champion Alex Volkanovski shared a few details about his next fight.
“The fight hasn’t been booked yet, but I told the UFC I’ll be ready to return in August or September, somewhere around that time. Hopefully they lock it in soon and you’ll all find out. It’s going to be interesting. We’ve got a lot of worthy guys — Movsar, Aljamain, Silva — and whoever the UFC decides to put in front of me, I’m ready. Fighting the No. 1 contenders is my duty as champion, and that’s what people will remember. That’s the kind of champion I want to be,” Volkanovski said, via Bloody Elbow.
