Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, an MMA veteran, gave advice to the new UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev.
"I did not expect Islam's striking to be so good. I was really impressed with Islam's striking. But his fighting style overall — he should have taken the opponent to the ground, dismantled him there, made him fear takedowns, and then just dismantle him in stand-up striking. That would have made him a much bigger star, it seems to me. And he can dismantle an opponent on the ground anytime. To be honest, it was the first time I watched Islam's fight. I had never seen his fights before."
