Makhachev called the preparation for the fight with Della Maddalena the hardest

“This camp is really tough. I am gaining weight, getting bigger, and constantly changing sparring partners. Some of them are really big in terms of size. It's a very difficult training camp. The weights have also changed and lifting them is tough. But I feel good.

Gaining weight was very difficult. Now I've become a little bigger. I've been working on this for the last couple of months. I use creatine, protein after each workout. I try to eat more. To stay in shape, I am in constant contact with the dietitians from the UFC Performance Institute,” said Makhachev in an interview with ESPN.
