Chimaev promised to leave Africa without the UFC championship belt

Hamzat Chimaev, a contender for the UFC middleweight championship title, stated that he will take the belt from the current champion Dricus du Plessis.

“Let’s see who comes out of the cage as champion. This is my time. I will take everything for myself. Africa will never see the UFC championship belt again,” said Hamzat Chimaev at a press conference.

Recall that Chimaev’s fight with du Plessis will take place on August 17 and will headline UFC 319.
