Chimaev wanted to fight McGregor but he wasn't allowed into the country

UFC middleweight Khamzat Chimaev has revealed how he wanted to spar with Conor McGregor but was not allowed to travel to Ireland.

"Well I wasn't looking for it. I saw from one of our guys, a Chechen, how he was dropped by Conor in sparring. And then he posted the photo. My friends also offered me to spar with Conor. I flew out. But I couldn't find him. They wouldn't let me in because they arrested me at the airport and sent me home. Probably mistaken for someone else. Then the British authorities sent me a letter informing me that I could return to the country at any time".
