Eric Nixick, coach of Sean Strickland, took some of the blame for his ward's loss to Dricus Du Plessis.

"I picked my words very poorly. But what I said about the fight was true - Shawn didn't look impressive. We all know Shawn. It wasn't his style. Should I take some of the blame? Of course, one hundred percent. I've always said that the responsibility lies with our coaching staff, among others."
