Strickland: "Du Plessis honestly kicked my ass."

Former UFC middleweight champion Shawn Strickland commented on his loss to current titleholder Dricus Du Plessis in the main event of UFC 312 in Sydney, Australia.

"I freaking love you guys! When that asshole broke my nose, I was like, 'Man, there's something wrong here.' Then I put it back in and kept on hitting.

That Dutchman is a tough motherfucker. He kicked my ass fair and square. I give him credit. But hey guys, I freaking love you guys. You energize me. I'm willing to break my nose for you guys at least every week," Shawn said.

Recall that Strickland lost to Du Plessis by a crushing judges' decision.
