Strickland: "I think I'll take Du Plessis apart."

Former UFC middleweight champion Shawn Strickland expressed confidence that he can get a rematch against current belt holder Dricus Du Plessis.

"I respect Drikus, he fights like a retard for crying out loud. I don't think he's the best fighter, but when you fight a guy like that, you have to kill him to stop him. And you have to respect that. But I believe I will dismantle him," Strickland said in an interview with Michael Bisping.

As a reminder, Du Plessis and Strickland will headline UFC 312, which takes place on the night of Feb. 9 in Sydney, Australia.
