Covington is not ready to move up to lightweight

UFC welterweight Colby Covington has spoken out about a possible move to lightweight.

"I thought about moving up to lightweight for years and finally realized that my life is more valuable to me. But I don't want to be a heavyweight. Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov are lightweight champions. They have that weight advantage - 30-40 pounds to lose on fight night. But it's just not healthy. And it's a very unstable condition. You lose weight, and then your organs start failing. I want to have a good quality of life. I'm thinking about longevity and being healthy in 20-30 years," MMAJunkie quoted Covington as saying.
