UFC lightweight No. 1 Arman Tsarukyan recalled his first fight with Islam Makhachev.
"Was I confident of winning? I'm always confident. I thought I was going to win this fight, one hundred percent. I'm good in wrestling, good in stand-up, but I didn't have experience at that point, I didn't have time. No time to prepare. What would you change? Sparring more with left-handed fighters. I've mostly sparred with right-handed guys, and there are differences. Sparring with the same guys is the most important thing," Tsarukyan said in an interview with ESPN.
Recall, then Tsarukyan lost to Makhachev by unanimous decision of the judges.
