UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad commented on the statement of lightweight titleholder Islam Makhachev that he is going to fight the leader of the welterweight category Elijah Topuria.
"Look, Islam's words make a lot of sense. If Elijah goes up in weight and Islam beats him, everyone will say, 'Oh, you just beat a welterweight.' I think Arman Tsarukyan has definitely earned the title of number one contender. And their first fight was close. But Islam has grown so much since then - in striking, in grappling.
