Diego Lopez, the UFC's No. 3 ranked welterweight division, has declared himself ready to fight Alex Volkanovski for the interim title in February.

"Elijah said he wants to take a break. And the UFC has not yet decided on a date for the tournament in Spain. The most logical thing would be to fight Volkanovski for the interim title in Sydney. He himself suggested it, and I agreed," MMA Fighting quotes Lopez as saying.
