Cormier explained why today's UFC champions are a long way from being legends

Daniel Cormier, former UFC champion in two weight classes, has spoken out on why the promotion's current champions are far from being true legends.

"I think the reason why we don't have those stars is because it's hard to be the reigning champion for a long time now. That's the problem - the game has become very difficult. How many title defenses has Anderson Silva had? Eleven? And Jon Jones? Thirteen? We've been talking about Sean O'Malley like his championship run was great, but he only defended the belt once. Imagine if he'd done it seven times. It's very difficult to hold a title for a long time. It takes that to become a true superstar. It's not enough to be just a flashback champion....".
