Demetrious Johnson, former UFC flyweight champion, shared his opinion on the organization's current champion in the division, Alekshandre Pantoge.
"I think Alex is great. I always felt he was a dark horse at the beginning of his UFC career.... Well, first of all, I feel like the lightest division has always had a hard time gaining momentum. This is nothing new, I mean even when I was UFC champion, our division wasn't the most popular in the entire UFC roster. Pantoja came to compete on The Ultimate Fighter, but he didn't win there, losing to Tim Elliott. Because of that, viewers don't consider Pantoja a top fighter, but he's great," MMA News quoted Johnson as saying.
