Belal Muhammad, the UFC welterweight champion, has revealed under what condition he would end his career as an MMA fighter.
"At one point before the Leon Edwards fight I had the thought in my head, 'If I lose, there's a chance I'll probably hang my gloves on the nail because I won't get another chance to fight for the title.' It was so hard to get that chance. I've been begging fans to make videos for me, to promote me, to get matchmakers to set me up for a title fight. I hate asking people for anything. But I was willing to do anything for a title fight," BJ Penn quoted Belal as saying.
