UFC heavyweight champion Jones Jones has spoken out about the constant comparisons to the promotion's former lightweight division titleholder Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Earlier, the 45th president of the United States, Donald Trump, called Jones and Khabib the best fighters in the history of mixed martial arts.
"If you were in my shoes, you would think a lot about those words too. It's rare to be number one on the planet in any field. When I was a kid, I didn't excel at anything. So I'm fighting for this recognition," the American wrote in X.
Recall that Jones has not appeared in the octagon since last March, when he finished Cyril Gana in the first round.
