The legendary Roy Jones Jr. gave a prediction for a potential unification fight at welterweight between WBO champion Devin Haney and WBA titleholder Rolando "Rolly" Romero, noting the balance between skill and raw power.
"I think Devin will beat him, but Rolly always has a puncher's chance. The only real path to success for Romero is if he gets lucky and accidentally lands a clean shot on Haney, although I highly doubt that will happen," Jones said.
"People don't understand: Rolly is not an ordinary mid-level boxer. He has abnormal punching power. If he truly hits someone, he can potentially knock out almost any opponent," the expert emphasized, comparing Romero's power to the punches of the legendary Prince Naseem Hamed—not in technique, but in destructive power.
