Jones: "I fight for recognition."

UFC heavyweight champion Jones Jones has spoken out about the constant comparisons with former titleholder in the promotion's lightweight division Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Earlier, U.S. 45th President Donald Trump called Jones and Khabib the best fighters in mixed martial arts history.

"If you were in my shoes, you would think a lot about those words too. It's rare to be number one on the planet in any field. When I was a kid, I didn't excel at anything. So I'm fighting for this recognition," the American wrote in X.
