"It's very hard to give up on my planned comeback. I got injured before the press conference, it took longer than I had time to recover. The decision didn't come easy and was made after consulting with my doctors, the UFC and my team. My fans and my opponent deserve the best version of me in this fight and we will get it done! Thanks for the support, I'm in good spirits and I'm confident I'll be back!" - McGregor wrote on social media.
