UFC welterweight Belal Muhammad has spoken out about his upcoming bout with the organization's featherweight champion Leon Edwards.
"Honestly, I think I'm going to go out there and knock him out. I've fought the best puncher in the UFC, Stephen Thompson. I've fought the best grappler in the UFC, Demian Maia. I fought the great finisher, Vicente Luque. I fought Gilbert Burns on three weeks notice. I think all those fights were leading up to this fight and were all part of God's plan for me. I think I'm the best version of myself now and Leon and his team there in Manchester are going to be in for a big surprise - they're in for a tough awakening. People can say whatever they want, but the last time I did a full training camp I knocked out Shawn Brady and the fight with Gilbert Burns was on three weeks notice. Now I've had a full training camp and I'm going to knockout Leon Edwards."
As a reminder, the bout between Muhammad and Edwards will take place July 27 in Manchester and headlines UFC 304.
