Chandler always wanted to see Gatji with the championship belt

UFC ranked lightweightMichael Chandler admitted in a recent interview that he always wanted Justin Gaethje to win the promotion's championship belt.

"The only thing Puryear hasn't achieved yet is a championship belt. But he wants to do it. And I'm glad he got a title shot. Honestly, I was hoping that Gaethje would beat Holloway and get the title shot because Justin deserves it more. I always wanted to see Gatji with the belt," Chandler told MMA Fighting.
