Former dominant UFC lightweight champion Demetrious Johnson has made it clear that he's not thrilled with the level of current belt holder Alesandre Pantoja.

The Brazilian defeated Australian Steve Ercega on points at UFC 301 this past weekend.

"I didn't get the impression that Pantoja was the better fighter in that fight. If you manage to neutralize his wrestling, you have a clear advantage. Also, personally, I think Alex has weight training issues. He's probably racing a lot.

Seeing Pantoja, I think he's managing to get through fights, but he's not making significant gains. It doesn't seem like Alex is getting stronger as the fight goes on," Middle Easy quoted Demetrious as saying.
