Khabib Nurmagomedov recalled his fight with Conor McGregor, expressing confidence that in that bout, real Irish fans supported him.
“I fought with Conor, but not with the Irish people. It’s a great nation, there are so many wonderful people. I believe that real Irish fans cheered for me. I am sure of it.
Every time I met Irish people, they told me: “We don’t like Conor. We were cheering for you.” Maybe they were being hypocritical in front of me. But still, they are very good people. Only those who came to the arena and drank cheered for McGregor. How many were there? And 8 million Irish supported me. I truly believe in this.”
