Alex Pereira, the current UFC bantamweight champion, has revealed that he suffered from alcohol addiction at the age of 16. According to the Brazilian, he could drink a liter of alcohol a day.
"At that time I was really lost. I used to drink a liter of alcohol a day. It was a kind of ritual. Before twelve at night I would drink three bottles of cachaça. At ten, at eleven and at midnight. I didn't have the financial conditions to do that. I loved beer, but man, I didn't have the money," Pereira said in an interview with Brazilian MMA Legends.
Recall, his last fight Pereira held on April 14, knocking out Jamal Hill in the main event of UFC 300.
