Charles Oliveira, former UFC lightweight champion, talked about the history behind his nickname "Do Bronx," which translates to "From the Bronx" in Portuguese.

"It took me 11 years to get to the UFC. I fought like a cursed man - and it happened. I truly believe that God chose me to change not only my story, but also the lives of my parents and many other people. A guy who came up from the bottom, came out of the favelas, out of squalor. If God took me right today, I would die happy. For everything I have, for everything I gave to my parents. That's what "Do Bronx" means to me. The guy who came out of the favelas to win."
