Bellew named the next hegemon in the heavyweight division after Usyk's departure

Former world heavyweight champion Tony Bellew shared his vision of the development of events in the heavyweight division after Oleksandr Usyk ends his career.

The British expert believes that after the departure of the Ukrainian boxer, the division will expect a period of chaos, but then a dominating force in the form of Moses Itauma will emerge, who will collect all the belts.

“Usyk will just ride off into the sunset and say, 'That's enough for me.' After this, everyone will rush for the titles, new interim champions will emerge. And then another will come — it's Moses Itauma. He will clean it all up and become the undisputed champion,” Bellew believes.

As of today, the 21-year-old Itauma, with an impressive record (13-0, 11 KOs), holds leading positions in the WBO and WBA rankings. However, before challenging the elite, he will have to undergo an important bout against the experienced Jermaine Franklin (24-2, 15 KOs), scheduled for March 28 in Manchester.
