Earlier in June of last year, it was Krasiuk who publicly announced the termination of the cooperation, which lasted exactly 12 years — from the start of Usyk's professional career after the 2012 Olympics. The news appeared just weeks before the rematch with Daniel Dubois, sparking numerous speculations in the boxing community.
Usyk himself presented the situation in a positive light:
“It wasn't a complete break in relations. I am actively building my business now — the brand USYK 17. It is in this company that Oleksandr Krasiuk is currently working. We just no longer collaborate in the field of boxing, but he helps me in another direction. We have worked together for 12 years, achieved very much — these were incredible achievements. I am grateful for all this time.”
Recall that Usyk has not entered the ring since his early victory over Dubois in July of last year.
