Jai Opetaia delivered a knockout that stunned the crowd during his third bout of 2025. Taking place on his home ground, Opetaia faced off against Huseyin Cinkara and continued his dominant reign in the cruiserweight division with a devastating eighth-round finish.
Opetaia, known for extraordinary strength and his fearsome punching power, entered the ring with an unbeaten record of 29 wins, 23 coming by way of knockout. A translator at the scene described Cinkara's condition: “He's going to stay two or three days; he has a brain hematoma and fractured vertebra in the T1 region.” The knockout punch knocked Cinkara into the ropes before he hit the floor hard enough to sustain serious injuries. Although disoriented upon waking and unable to speak English, Cinkara received cheers from supportive fans as he regained his feet.
