Right now, Oleksandr Usyk rules the heavyweight division at 39 years old. He's been tough to beat. But the division's always changing, with guys like Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, and Daniel Dubois trying to get to the top. There are also some older fighters still in the mix, like Joseph Parker, Agit Kabayel, and Fabio Wardley.

Itauma made people take notice when he knocked out Dillian Whyte in the first round back in August. That win got a lot of attention, and now people think he might be ready for a world title shot soon.

His trainer, Ben Davison, has worked with some of the best heavyweights around. He's trained Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, and Fabio Wardley. But he says Itauma is something special. In an interview with talkSPORT, Davison made some big claims about his young fighter:

"I don't think this country has ever produced a pound-for-pound best boxer in the world. I think we have an opportunity to do that. I don't think a heavyweight, barring now a bit of talk with Usyk. For a heavyweight - a British heavyweight - to have the potential to be the pound-for-pound best boxer in the world, that's what we've got when it comes to Moses Itauma."

That's high praise, especially when you think about all the great British heavyweights we've seen. Davison even thinks Itauma has a better shot at beating Usyk right now than anyone else.

It's still early days for Itauma, but if Davison's right, we might be seeing the start of something big in boxing. The young fighter has got people excited, and they're eager to see what he'll do next.
