Former world champion in two weight categories Ricky Hatton died at the age of 46.

Hatton's body was found at his home in Manchester on Sunday.

“A member of the public called officers to Bowland Road, Hyde, Tameside, at 6:45 AM today, where they discovered the body of a 46-year-old man. There is currently no reason to believe that there are any suspicious circumstances,” said a police officer.

In December, Hatton planned to fight a local former fighter and current promoter Eisa Al Da in Dubai.

The last time the Brit fought in the ring was in 2012, when he suffered a stoppage loss to Ukrainian Vyacheslav Senchenko.

Hatton openly spoke about his mental health issues and drug addiction. He attempted to take his own life, after which he started working on his mental health.
